2013 Honda Accord is Incredibly Safe and Won Two Awards

March 5th, 2013 by

Back in January, we were informing our fans how our favorite sedan might be awarded the North American Car of the Year at the Detroit Auto Show. While we certainly would love to tell everyone in the greater White Plains area that our 2013 Honda Accord took home the coveted prize, sadly it did not. However we would like to dedicate today’s Honda blog post to inform our fans in Yonkers about two awards our favorite sedan won.

Both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found our Honda Accord to offer our drivers extreme levels of safety. We have always said our favorite sedan is one of the safest rides on the road but now that two independent firms agree, we definitely can back up our statement with proof.

The IIHS found the Accord to be a “Top Safety Pick+” after it performed well in the side, front, and rollover crash tests as well as the newly implemented small and moderate overlap crash tests. Additionally our Accord passed the NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program with the highest possible rating of five-stars.

With standard safety features like the back-up camera, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Watch, everyone here at White Plains Honda wasn’t exactly surprised by our Accord’s awards, but we are still very pleased.

If you would like to schedule a test drive in our incredibly safe Honda Accord, please feel free to visit us. We are also happy to help you look through our new and used Honda inventory if you’re not looking for an Accord. We are located at 344 Central Ave in White Plains, NY 10606. We hope to see you soon.
