Honda Helps Elevate National Fleet Efficiency

August 8th, 2013 by

It’s an exciting truth; at our Honda dealership serving New Rochelle, you can find an array of efficient models. In addition to the usual environmentally-conscientious suspects, including hybrids, EVs and fuel-cell vehicles, the Big H also coaxes optimal fuel-economy out of roomy family-haulers like the Odyssey.

Taking the abovementioned example; the seven-passenger 2014 Honda Odyssey earns an ample EPA-estimate to the tune of 19mpg city/28 miles per gallon highway.1 That’s a slight gain from the fuel-economy estimates regarding the outgoing minivan with the 2013 model year moniker.

That’s, understandably, a good thing. In addition to volatile gas prices, in which the only consistency is their capricious nature, drivers worldwide are demanding increased efficiency and automakers like Honda are responding.

Actually, they’re doing more than simply responding. According to a recent study by the folks at TrueCar, Honda is the third-best automaker in regards to national fleet fuel-economy. Furthermore, by compiling the industry’s overall data, the aforementioned gurus are reporting that Americans, as a whole, are 0.7 miles per gallon more efficient than we were in June.

That’s exciting; and at White Plains Honda our humble opinion is that the innovative car parts engineered by our preferred Japanese automaker, such as the Earth Dreams Engines, are helping create those greener statistics.

With that said, to arrange a test drive in a fuel-sipping or alternatively-powered Honda, we welcome you to visit our showroom. Housed at 344 Central Avenue in White Plains, NY, at your convenience we’re happy to detail the specs and answer any questions!
