KBB.com Awards Four 2014 Honda Vehicles for Best Resale Value
We understand when you look to purchase a new vehicle, you’re not just looking at what it will provide for you in the short term. You want to know that it will keep its promise to you throughout the years, and eventually, when you’re looking to resell, you want to know that it will still be seen as a valuable car.
We don’t want to toot our own horn, but resale value of Honda vehicles have proven to be pretty positive. This year, four vehicles made Kelley Blue Book’s list of “Best Resale Value Vehicles,” so if you’re considering any of the following–you’re on a good track!
- Best Resale Value Mid-Size Car: Honda Accord
- Best Resale Value Plug-In Vehicle:Honda Accord Hybrid Plug-In
- Best Resale Value Top 10:Honda CR-V
- Best Resale Value Sporty Compact Car: Honda Civic Si
How is this even determined, you ask? Well, Kelley Blue Book determines this based on projections from its own Official Residual Value Guide. This guide recognizes vehicles that are expected to maintain the greatest amount of their original Manufactured Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) after five years of ownership.
“Honda vehicles are engineered to provide a fun-to-drive experience as well as overall value for the money,” says Michael Accavitti, senior vice president of automobile operations at American Honda. “With a continued focus on quality, fuel efficiency and premium content, we have always believed that a Honda provides every buyer with added value, and we are honored to be recognized for our efforts by valuation leader Kelley Blue Book.”1
